Medical Research, Design, Regulation and Ethics

Provides an overview of ethics and regulation in research, clinical trial design, medical biostatistics and data management.

Most modules require a 2.2 degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience. On completion of this module, learners will be able to:

1. Understand Good Clinical Practice, Ethics and Regulation in clinical research

2. Understand clinical trial principles including study design

3. Understand the core considerations of experimental / study design and data management

4. Understand common statistical approaches applied to data generated from clinical trials
