Dr Rob Brennan, an assistant professor in the School of Computer Science in UCD discusses Incident Response module he teaches as part of the MSc in Cybersecurity programme. This module can be take as standalone as well.
A key outcome for learners is to understand the process of incident response.As in many areas of cybersecurity, there's several different processes available that are related overlapping and not quite the same. The course focuses on the NIST and CISA IR processes but also discuss SANS and ISO and show how they can be related to those frameworks
This module is designed to be relevant to the cybersecurity architects, Cti analysts, SOC monitors and SOC analysts. It's key feature is studying the Conti cyber attack on the HSE independent review report from PWC.
Most modules require a 2.2 degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
