Dr.Rob Brennan an assistant professor in the School of Computer Science in UCD discusses the topics of cyber risk and standards module that he teaches as part of MSc in Cybersecurity programme.
This module provides methods to navigate the wide range of cybersecurity, risk management standards available. It covers both NIST and ISO standards and some of the connections and mappings between them. It also looks at some standard cyber threats and mitigations or controls that are available.
The course is aimed at cybersecurity or systems managers, threat analysts, soc analysts, or risk analysts who want to understand cyber risk.
Most modules require a 2.2 degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
