Sensors and Sensing Systems

This module covers modern sensors and advanced measurement systems for a wide range of applications.

On successful completion of this module, the student is expected to be able to
1. demonstrate an understanding of the principles of sensor measurement systems
2. understand and analyse data provided by a range of sensor and sensing systems;
3. demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental limitations of a range of sensing and imaging techniques;
4. propose and assess a range of solutions to a sensing and sensing systems application against appropriate technical criteria.
