On completion of this module students should be able to:

  • Synthesise and critically analyse operations management concepts and theories.
  • Identify the key design decisions the components of an operation, and apply the design principles in technical sectors.
  • Contrast the design and management of product and service operations.
  • Apply the principles and models of operations management across a range of industries.
  • Become familiar with digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 technologies
  • Manage and work as part of a team and demonstrate written and presentation skills.
